In the middle of the forest area of the Hinsbecker Heide is the almost 29m high observation tower, which has developed into a popular excursion destination for young and old. From the top platform, which incidentally is 110m above sea level, you have a breathtaking view of the Krickenbeck lakes, the green areas of Nettetal and the neighboring Netherlands. On a clear day you can even see into the Ruhr area.

The wooden tower, originally built in 1970, was renovated in 2005 and a steel structure was added. The tower is accessible at all times. Parking spaces are located opposite the circus youth hostel in Hinsbeck.

From the approximately 30 m high observation tower you have a good view over the Krickenbeck lake district and also in the other direction such as the Hülser Berg or Neukirchen Vluyn.
