In the course of 3 years (2003 - 2005), eleven stone steles were erected at regular intervals on a corrugated field strip characteristic of the Weinviertel. The dozen full makes another twelfth stele, which was positioned on the outskirts of Harmannsdorf-Rückersdorf. The stone cuboids, made of granite and weighing between 8 and 9 tons, have a height of around 4.50 m; their cross-section is a square with a side length of 80 cm.

In three sections, four granite blocks were individually worked on by sculptors within five weeks according to the framework.

The artists come from the Czech Republic, Norway, China, Germany and Austria. The idea comes from the internationally known stone sculptor Peter Paszkiewicz; he was also entrusted with artistic direction.

The art field should lead to an examination of this cultural landscape. The dominance of the line of sculptures wants to draw attention to the landscape and present it in its specialty.

But the artwork also wants to point out the work of the farmers, the people who design this landscape year after year and surround it with colors and structures, because they are inseparable co-designers in the necessary entirety.

This results in a lively and varied change in the existing, depending on the seasons, the weather, day and night.
