After a marked path to the source of the Reykjadalsá turns into a rock gorge, we can walk to the steam columns and marvel at another fascinating geothermal area with solfatars, mud and hot springs.

A really great spot to walk through a geothermal region with almost no barriers. We were there on a Sunday evening around 6.30pm and were totally alone. Unfortunately, it was very foggy but also very mystical :) the further ascent and circumnavigation was difficult due to the rain on the previous days - be careful of wetness. The ground is muddy and brittle in some passages. There is a small via ferrata passage and it is steep.
