The Saaleturm in Burgk not only offers a fantastic view over the Saale valley, it is also an architectural highlight. In any case, the tower is worth a trip to the Thuringian Vogtland. In 2011, the Saaleturm was opened in Burgk. Within a very short time, it has become, in addition to the castle, the landmark of the municipality Burgk that can be seen from afar and has become a tourist magnet. The 43m high tower stands at the entrance, directly at the parking lot. He is already visible from afar. The tower consists of a steel-wood construction. The curved wooden construction makes it particularly interesting. After 192 steps you have reached the observation deck at 36m height. In good weather, the view is up to 32km. The Saalet tower offers a fantastic panorama over the Saale valley, Castle Burgk and the dam Burgkhammer. On the opposite side the view extends to the mountain church in Schleiz.Admission 1 € via a turnstile

Very charming tower with good views. Tips: park your car in the free car park and hike, e.g. After Burgk (castle, castle park, wooden bridge and continue over the Jägersteig to Burgkhammer), Grochwitz (traffic jam), Dörflas (small chapel), Walsburg (restaurant Fuchsbau), ice bridge and Kobersfelsen to the barrier wall), Isabellengrün (restaurant).
