The Magdeburg Cathedral is one of the most important sights that one must have seen. Not far from the Hundertwasserhaus and directly on the Elbe. Bicycle parking spaces are sufficiently available.

The Magdeburg Cathedral (official name Dom zu Magdeburg St. Mauritius and Katharina) is the sermon church of the regional bishop of the Evangelical Church in central Germany, a Protestant parish church and at the same time the symbol of the city.
The cathedral is the first Gothic designed from the beginning and the earliest completed Gothic cathedral on German soil. It was built from 1207 or 1209 as the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Magdeburg and consecrated in 1363. The cathedral is the burial church of Otto the Great. With Otto von Guericke he is the patron saint of the "Ottostadt Magdeburg".
