Today's mill in Hamburg Wohldorf is a very good restaurant, where you can eat delicious.
In the past, Wohldorfer Kornmühle was probably one of the first buildings in Wohldorf, next to Burg Wohldorf. Its founding can be traced back to the year 1471, since at that time verifiable expenditure for a millstone was made. For a long time until the middle of the 19th century, the mill was a so-called forced mill, i. Farmers from the wider area were only allowed to grind grain here. The origin of the restaurant began in 1874 as a tavern. While the farmers waited for their grain to be ground, they used the time to stop to strengthen themselves. Over the decades, after several extensions, today's restaurant '' the mill '' developed. The fourth generation of the family Ströh now leads this house.

In the Wohldorfer mansion of 1714 resided the Hamburg councilors and later senators when they traveled to the forest villages.
The house was probably built by the Hamburg Council 1712-1713 and should serve as the seat of the forest lords, who managed from here from 1461 to the middle of the 19th century, the forest villages. In fact, the house was used as a holiday home by Hamburg Senate members. The house was thoroughly renovated in the 1920s and 1970s and has been privately owned since 1996.
