The rise begins in Paularo and shows up to 20% of what this increase has to offer. The Forcella di Luis has a height of 1005m. The rise itself a length of just over 4 km and 426 hm. From km 1 up to km 2 it is always in the double digits with ramps up to 20%. Then there are six hairpin bends and it becomes a bit shallower, before it goes to the apex at about 1070m. The pass can be reached after a short descent.

From Paularo it goes straight up, so well divide the forces. Scenic slightly gentler than the other Alpine passes but still very nice to drive. Not so much traffic.
