The Swiss stone pine is a type of pine and is also called Swiss stone pine. Their home is the Alps and the Carpathian Mountains. The tree can grow up to 25 meters high. Its short shoots carry many tufts of five needles each. The pine forest in the area looks very primeval and is also lined with lots of ferns.
