The church dates from the 13th century. The interior consists of an altar shrine from the 15th century, a Romanesque granite baptism, a pulpit from 1630 and a sacristy door from 1680. Outside the church there is a cemetery with "talking" gravestones. These tell the life story of the Föhrer whalers and captains.
