Here too, as in so many quarries in the Fichtel Mountains, granite was mined, as shown by the blasting shelter below the old quarry.
If you come from the direction of Bischofsgrün through the forest, you do not necessarily pass the barrier (which is very easy to walk around, as it is just an old gate that only blocks the passage).
