High above the Saar, monks have carved a refuge into the sandstone wall, the origins of which date back to the 13th century. The burial chapel for Johann von Böhmen was built on the remains of the decaying building in 1934/35 according to plans by the famous Prussian master builder Karl Friedrich Schinkel, which can also be seen from the path in the Saar valley.
