High above the Weser, in the small village of Polle, stands the castle ruins of Count von Everstein. It was built in the 13th century and destroyed by Swedish troops in the Thirty Years' War. Since then, Polle Castle has been a ruin, but its former splendor can still be seen at the castle gate and the picturesque location has remained natural. Climb the 20-meter-high round keep and enjoy the great view of the Weser and the Weserbergland. The upper and lower castles are also used as a wonderful natural backdrop for theater performances, markets and concerts in the summer months. The Cinderella play is also performed here in the summer months. And in the small Burg Polle Museum in the guest house, with numerous finds from current archaeological excavations, you can learn more about the history and life at the castle.

Polle Castle is definitely worth a visit. The view of the Weser from up here is beautiful.

The castle is only open inside during the summer months.

Polle's main attraction is the castle ruins of the "Eversteiner". The castle, which was extensively renovated in 1984, consists of an outer bailey, of which essentially only the remains of the ring wall and the main castle with the approximately 20 m high, round, climbable keep remain. The ruins of "Polle Castle" can be visited.

Cultural events take place in the castle courtyard several times a year. Archaeological excavations were carried out at the castle from 2007 to September 2009. The finds can be viewed in the castle museum.

Polle is part of the German Fairy Tale Route and the fictitious "home" of Cinderella, who is regularly performed by the local amateur theater group in the castle ruins. In recent years, the Poller Pumpkin Market has become well-known beyond the region.
