Hiking
The Sankt-Ludgerus Church is the older of the two Catholic churches on Norderney. It was built between 1883 and 1884 in the Neo-Gothic style from red brick and is now a listed building.
Anyone entering the church immediately notices a special architectural feature: as part of a comprehensive renovation (2007–2009), the interior was completely redesigned. The movable chairs are not arranged in classic, long rows one behind the other, but grouped in an elliptical circle around the altar.
