Hiking
The Schorte rises on the eastern slope of the horse mountain in Stützerbach. It runs through the Schortetal, forms in the upper part of the Knöpfelstaler pond, created in the 17th century reservoir for rafting of wood, and flows after 8.56 km on Grenzhammer, a district of Ilmenau, in the Ilm.
