Hiking
The I - line is a relaxing, quiet hiking trail. He leads from Schmiedefeld constantly down to Schleusingen (Bhf. East). Due to its altitude, it is also very attractive in winter. (snow sure, groomed ski trail).

Sportplatz Schmiedefeld (710 m), route at 700 m altitude - ski jump - Volkmarskopf - Hengstwiese (refuge) - Wegespinne - branch Brunnenhügel (500 m), beautiful view (704 m) - back on I-line - return to Schleusingen-Ost station : Train connection to Schmiedefeld.
