The beautiful Art Nouveau hotel with its pointed towers and artistic balconies is located in the middle of a dreamlike landscape. The impressive building has stood at this location since 1896. The restaurant offers fine cuisine and is worth a stop. The hotel is open all year round, the restaurant from April to October.

The unique Art Nouveau Hotel Paxmontana is detached on a hilltop with a wonderful panoramic view of Lake Sarnen and the Obwalden mountains. Built in 1896 by Mr. Franz Hess-Michel as the Kurhaus Nünalphorn. The hotel is now a listed building and is a protected object of regional importance.

If you don't want to be spoiled for one or more nights in beautifully furnished rooms and the stylish atmosphere of the hotel, we recommend an aperitif on the spacious hotel terrace.
