    On a (tattered) plaque it is reported that a war returnees, Carlo Toro, wanted to donate a statue of the Virgin Mary in 1945, the pastor of the village had one and so only a pedestal had to be built under a rock overhang for the "Maria vom Brechfelsen".
    The name comes from the breaking of flax, which used to be done at this point. It is believed that the rock was used as a sanctuary in the Celtic times.

    The path past the rock grotto is interesting and partially secured with railings.
