An inconspicuous foothill to Kahlenberg and Leopoldsberg with a fantastic view. There are also numerous wine taverns that we highly recommend visiting.

The Nussberg is a 332 meter high mountain north of Nussdorf. In the north it is in front of the slope of the Leopoldsberg to the Waldbachtal and the Kahlenberg to the Iron Hand. In the west and south it is bordered by the Schreiberbach (Muckental). The Nussberg is located in a north-eastern foothills of the Eastern Alps and is geologically part of the flysch zone, which is composed of quartz, calcareous sandstone, marl and other conglomerates.
White wine varieties such as Chardonnay, Grüner Veltliner, Neuburger, Riesling, Rotgipfler, Traminer and Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc) are mainly cultivated on the Nußberg, as well as a mixed set consisting of these varieties. In the 19th and 20th centuries, the "Nussberger" was a famous and popular mixed set and was also drunk at the Habsburg imperial court. Nearby is Nußdorf, part of Vienna's 19th district Döbling, where many of the typical Viennese Heurigen are located. The vineyards of Cobenzl, Fuhrgassl-Huber, Hajszan-Neumann, Hengl-Haselbrunner, Kattus, Langes Irene, Mayer am Pfarrplatz, Mayer Vitikultur, Klosterneuburg Abbey, Wieninger and Zahel all have shares in the vineyard.
