The parish church in the center of Seefeld, which is dedicated to Saint Oswald, was for a long time one of the most famous pilgrimage churches in Tyrol. The origin of this pilgrimage was the so-called "host miracle" of 1384. According to legend, Oswald Milser from the border fortress Schlossberg demanded a larger host (blessed wafer) at the holy mass than was given to the "common people".
