Gletserrast - Toteisloch Möserer See
In the middle of coniferous forests, the Möserer See (1192 m) dreams a little above the village in its idyllic forest seclusion and is guarded in the west by the pewter-colored wall of the Hohe Munde. From a geological perspective, the history of the creation of the lake, which is up to 11m deep, is less romantic.
In the Ybschmelzphase the glacier covered this tub, which had meanwhile filled with ice. When this ice also melted, the lake formed and received its present-day appearance in the following thousands of years due to erosion and the development of vegetation.
