A lovely climb up Hackpen Hill overlooking the Hackpen White Horse chalk hill figure. The horse was cut by Henry Eatwell, a local parish clerk, in 1838 to commemorate Queen Victoria's coronation.
The hill's summit stands at 600 feet (180 metres). It's a bit of a slog but you're rewarded with lovely views over Wiltshire.

Doesn't get too steep, a bit of a drag toward the top but worth it for the views. Be careful on the descent.

Ride past the white horse cut into the hillside, picturesque enough to look up despite the gradient.
