The Castle d'Ursel in Hingene came into the hands of Conrad Schetz in 1608 and was expanded into a summer residence. In the 18th century, Duke Charles of Ursel had the castle renovated into its current neoclassical form. It served as a country residence for the Duke of Ursel and his family for more than 350 years. After periods of vacancy, the castle was purchased and restored by the province of Antwerp in 1994. It has a park and is accessible to the public, including a youth accommodation and the Notelaer hunting pavilion on the Scheldt.
