The church Ahlbeck is located on the Kurparkstraße opposite the spa park. The foundation stone of the church was in July 1894. The inauguration took place on 29 August 1895. Next to the entrance there is a plaque to Johann Koch, the father of the church.

With its pointed barrel wood ceiling spanning the room, it looks like a large upside-down ship. Cantor Johann Koch collected donations for its construction for three decades. Until then, Ahlbecker and guests had to go to church services in Swinoujscie or Heringsdorf. The church was consecrated in 1895. The original furnishings have been preserved to this day. The organ was made in 1895 by the Grünerberg company in Szczecin. The interior decoration focuses on the altar and the sandstone cross. Three stained glass windows in Art Nouveau decor characterize the apse of the neo-Gothic church. The two festive chandeliers and the votive ship “Heimkehr”, donated by Greifswald Pastor i. R. Gerhard Dallmann, give the room a special charisma.

Open church: June-September, Mon-Sat 3 pm-5pm
Church service: every Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
Concert summer: Mon-Thu 8 p.m.
