The “Nonne” forest area lies between the Schleußig district and the Elster flood bed. It forms the transition from the Clara Zetkin Park near the center to the southern Leipzig riparian forest, the Connewitzer Holz. The name nun comes from the original ownership of a monastery of the Georgen nuns.
