Zillertal. Paul Mehling (89) often visits the Gelpe Valley, where the ski jump once stood. Then he sits down on “his” bench and thinks about the old days. “You can't get them back. But it was a great time. ”For many years the ski jump was a meeting place for winter sports fans, today nothing can be seen of it. A bench, a memorial plaque, a pair of old skis and the name of the narrow path: "Sprungschanzenweg."
