The 48-hectare park on the Ilm is a unique landscape garden on the edge of Weimar's old town. Duke Carl August and Johann Wolfgang Goethe realized their gardening ideas here. They created a walk-in work of art with varied landscapes, park architecture and seating areas, which to this day serves as a place for relaxation, education and aesthetic enjoyment of nature.

This park is certainly one of the most beautiful in Germany, old trees, lawns and in between the Ilm babbles along. Goethe's garden house, Sternbrücke and the view of the city palace give the whole thing a special magic. A visit during the year is a must.
