Shortly after the Bird Woman comes the artwork Totem with Magpie. The "Ghosts of the Emscher Valley" consisted of the two works "Bird Woman" and "Totem with Magpie", which were installed on the southern bank of the Phoenix Lake in Dortmund-Hörde during the exhibition and then moved to the Emscher-Weg on the other side of the lake. A third sculpture "Observer (Oraculum)" was located on the site of the Hansa coking plant in Dortmund-Huckarde and is no longer preserved. Source: emscherkunstweg.de

The four-meter-high "totem" figure shows three children carrying each other on their shoulders. At the top, a bird sits on the hand of the smallest boy.
The figure is made of aluminum.
