From Gelsenkirchen-Resse through the woods to the canal. Over the canal past the zoo to Erzbahntrasse, past Holgers-Bierbude (booth is open, but distance) towards Zollverein. Through the fields towards Wattenscheid, then towards Steele. Over the Ruhr Bridge on the Ruhr towards Dahlhausen over the bridge at the Railway Museum to the other side of the Ruhr. Then across the pontoon bridge to the Hattinger weir. Now via Winz to Bochum-Linden, now via the Springorum cycle path to Weitmar, further past Bochum main station, through the city center to the Jahrhunderthalle. From the Jahrhunderthalle it goes via Ewald colliery to Resse.

On the way with Tim Thule, from Mülheim with sister Bruni.
Through the Buga towards Gruga, then great bike path through Essen to Steele. Before that, past the Hundertwasserhaus with a golden onion tower. Along the Ruhr to Baldeneysee, past the dam and it is already reached. Then on the Ruhr to Kettwig, eat delicious ice cream.
The highlight, of course, is the delicious ice cream and waffle from the ice cream parlor Al Ponte. Now continue to Mülheim to the water station. Lots of nature, lots of water, great weather, class now back to Resse with Tim Thule. I copied the tour from the forum, thanks.
A most beautiful tour, in great weather with sister Bruni.

On the way with Tim Thule, from Mülheim with sister Bruni. Through the Ruhr meadows towards the inner harbor, then along the canal. Pass the Oberhausen lock towards Centro. Then on the Emscher and now the "Green Path" to the ferry.
The highlight, of course, is the crossing over the Rhine. (2 euros one way) It is now back to Ruhrort, previously over the Rhine bridge and then along the bank. From Ruhrort back on the canal and Ruhr to Mülheim. Lots of nature, lots of water, great weather, class now back to Resse with Tim Thule.
One of my best tours, in great weather.

From Resse, via Emscher and Canal along the Erzbahntrasse (Holger's beer garden was closed) to the Jahrhunderthalle. A short walk through the city to the Springorum bike path. Along the way to Dahlhausen, in between Haus Weile in Weimar. Along the Ruhr, past the railway museum to Steele.
Now continue to Halde Rheinelbe, then towards Zollverein. Then down the mountain to the canal, then the Nordsternpark, over the Grimberger sickle and the tour is over.
Ps. The Ruhr between Hattingen am Wehr and Steele is one of the most beautiful routes along the Ruhr. The bike path and Ruhr are only two meters away, pure nature, especially now in spring.

From Resse through the Father Our Way to Mother Vogel, no coffee, everything closed, Corona struck. Along the Wesel-Dattel Canal and Lippe to Flaesheim. The lip ferry was unfortunately not in use. Through Flaesheim past the Westruder-Heide towards the holding reservoir. Around the reservoir and then to the market square. An ice cream was possible and delicious (after a long time now 1.20 €). Then Lohmühle and across the beautiful fields from Westerholt back to Resse.

Traveling with Tim Thule, from Gasometer (Matterhorn) direction Lippe. The route has a lot of nature, through forest and field, sometimes you smell the nature (manure). Along the Wesel-Dattel-Kanal, then by ferry across the Lippe. Through Dorsten (many construction sites) to Grafenmühle and the Halide Haniel over back to Centro. The route you should only drive after a long drought, otherwise everything a bit muddy, especially at the dump Haniel. At Centro the bike on the trailer hitch and back to Resse.

From Resse on beautiful bike paths to the airfield Loemühle,
through the beautiful forests to the canal. Before past the bird, too cold to stop. Along the Wesel-Dattel-Kanal and Lippe along to Flaesheim. (long along the canal is a bit monotonous) Short to the Lippe ferry, then through Flaesheim, past the West Rowing Heide direction Halterer reservoir. Around the reservoir and then to the city center. After an ice cream continue to Lippramsdorf, through the Lippeaue to the canal. Along the canal to Dorsten to the sailing airport. Now we continue past the Movie Park and Schloss Beck. Finally, the Wasserburg Lüttinghof and back to Resse. (Resse is Gelsenkirchen-Resse, near Herten and only 2km away from the A2)

It starts again from Resse, past the castle Herten, then past the coal mine Ewald. Then to the city harbor Recklinghausen, before Schloß Strünkede. Continue through Herne, past the Gysenberg, now through town and country to the Phoenix Lake. The return tour along the Emscher cycle path, a little further on the canal u and Resse got us back. The way, the first 15km and the last 15km super, in between city and roads with gradients. The way back was the Emscher super, I would go from Gelsenkirchen to Phoenix Lake and back only use the Emscher cycle path. The Phönixsee is only one goal, I think otherwise, the square edged houses around the lake are no feast for the eyes.
