We stumbled upon Bochum's Art Light Gates quite by chance. Bochum's city center is encircled by a railway triangle, and there are 16 "entrance gates." Of the 16 planned Art Light Gates, 11 have been installed. Today, 9 were still in operation, although one or two of the light bulbs could probably use replacing 😉.

Once again, we were blessed with sunshine. Crampons are recommended for the path through the gorge, as it's quite icy in places. On the shady side around St. Martin, it was bitterly cold, but there was still plenty of snow. A coffee break at Café Anna is highly recommended 😋

The perfect weather lured us to the Stuckkogel today. With sunshine and no wind, we worked up quite a sweat on the climb. The tranquility at the summit and the view of the Alps quickly made us forget the effort. And the refreshments afterwards at the Bichelalm were the perfect end to our winter hike.

In perfect weather, we circled the Pillersee today and then enjoyed the view of the Kitzbühel Alps from the Jakobskreuz on the Buchsteinwand.

To arrive, we took a short, leisurely stroll in the sunshine to the Linsinger confectionery in Kirchdorf.

Today, while passing through, we visited Nuremberg. As motorsport fans, we first went to the Norisring racetrack. There, we stumbled into the crowds of 1. FC Nürnberg supporters 😱. After walking around the short track once, we took the tram into the city center. The view from the window wasn't particularly

That was a fascinating excursion. The destination was a rotor blade in the middle of the forest. It was erected as a memorial after a Russian helicopter crashed. Our guide told us a great deal about the history of this region, from Prince Carl August, who had his hunting grounds here, to the Soviet occupation
