Really beautiful place on the creek with a sandy beach and when the sun is shining the light breaks almost romantically through the canopy.

There is background information about this weir on a plaque:"Here you are standing in front of the remains of an old weir that was built in the second half of the 19th century. Why was the Düssel dammed? The weir diverted the water into a ditch system from which the surrounding meadows were irrigated. The Farmers called this "rafts" and the ditches were called "raft ditches."

A great place for children to play a little by the stream in summer. But spare clothes are never wrong ;)
