The rose garden in Bad Kissingen was created for the citizens, whereas the spa garden was formerly reserved for spa guests. Today both parks are open to the public. Walking in the spa garden during the flowering season and breathing in the scent of roses is a real delight. The healing water of the Max spring ripples in the spa garden and concerts of the Stattsbad Philharmonie Kissingen take place almost daily, when the weather is fine outdoors.

The spa garden was traditionally the center of social spa life. Elegantly lined with regent building, arcade building and convertible hall, the 2 hectare area is today popular with guests and residents alike. The Max Fountain is also at home here.
King Ludwig I had also commissioned the spa garden to build the arcades in 1834 - and even picked up a pen himself. Today he overlooks his carefully planned tree avenues and the seasonally changing blooms from his base. The beds, container plants and flower bowls are carefully replanted three times a year. When the weather is good, the sounds of the Staatsbad Philharmonie Kissingen sound from the concert shell of the Wandelhalle turned outwards.
Bicycles are prohibited in the spa garden, a spa card is a prerequisite for the visit.

The fountain in the rose garden is not only beautiful to look at during the day, but also sometimes serves as a "multimedia fountain" for a projector show in the evening.
