The GETEC Arena (until 2011 Bördelandhalle) is a multifunctional hall in the Saxony-Anhalt state capital Magdeburg. It is also the largest event hall in the federal state. The main user is the handball Bundesliga club SC Magdeburg. Since May 26, 2011, the naming rights have been sold to GETEC heat & power AG for five years, which is why it has been called GETEC Arena since July 1, 2011. The former name Bördelandhalle was derived from the Magdeburg Börde.
