Hof ter Bollen, a castle from the Middle Ages, did not survive the great fire of early September 1914. The entire castle and its outbuildings were reduced to ashes. Today only the moats and pond bear witness to a lavish existence. In 1965 the domain was largely parceled out.

Hiking

The ideal starting point for walks is the Hof Ter Bollendreef with a view of the Hof ter Bollen domain. A castle stood here in the fifteenth century. The lords of the court provided employment and food production in the region. During WWI it disappeared from the map along with the rest of Liezele. But it was rebuilt in 1938: today you can once again admire a stately building with ramparts and a pond.
