If you would rather "watch people" than cycling, you should use this route, which leads 14 km to the Jahrhunderthalle, at the weekend. There is so much people on the road that you can hardly get by by bike in front of all the pedestrians, joggers, roller skaters and and and ... Better look for a nice bench and watch. You can do that really well. Making contacts is nice too.
