St. Mark's Church (Ursuline Church)
On the small square in front of the Klausentor, you will find one of Salzburg's many baroque churches, which is neglected by most visitors: St. Mark's Church or the Ursuline Church was built on a site that had been devastated by a terrible landslide. In 1669, wide parts of the cliffs broke off from the Mönchsberg and buried numerous houses underneath. 220 people lost their lives, they were buried near St. Blasius' Church in the Bürgerspital cemetery.
