Llyn Brianne Gravel Road

The wide and easy gravel road snakes around the western shores of the Llyn Brianne Reservoir, which dates back to the late '60s to service Swansea and Neath.It's gently undulating with no sharp climbs and can be pretty fast — enjoy!

Come for the gravel, stay for the best and quietest views across Llyn Brianne. 5* fire road with excellent hardpacked surface that even the wildest November downpour can't wash away!

Great views. Some good stopping points for a sandwich and even a beach. If you cross the dam going clockwise round the surface is gravel so be aware of bike and tyre choice for the whole ride around the lake. A lot of the gates are locked and you will need to lift bikes over them if you cross the dam. There were a lot of motorbikes in groups on the sunny day we went. Undulating Road with some long down hill sections and steep climbs adds to the enjoyment of the ride.
