“The inscription on a stone reads ‘Reitzer-Brunnen 1830‘. The well chamber was [formerly] accessible via a small wooden door. The well is named after a forester named Reitz in the former forester’s lodge ‘Am Sohl‘, whose inhabitants supplied themselves with water from the well.
