The landowner Johann Gottlieb Domsch donated at one time 1000 Taler for the construction of a Protestant chapel in Jauernick. This was originally conceived as a funeral chapel. In May 1863 her foundation stone was laid and on 1 April 1864 the chapel was inaugurated. The donor himself did not live that day anymore.
In the same year the chapel was equipped with a small organ. Then in 1892 with a second - a gift from Prince Heinrich zu Schöneich-Carolath.
A renovation of the chapel with external plaster renovation and roof covering happened in the year 1938. In the summer of 1953 the Schlaurother master builder Mirschel built the bell tower of the chapel. Its inauguration celebrated the Jauernicker at the Reformation in 1953.
