The Panagiotopoulos Building (Archontiko) was erected as an imposing, three-story mansion in 1857 for the wealthy family of the raisin merchant Sotiris Panagiotopoulos.
It was designed by the Greek architect Panagiotis Kalkos and is considered one of the most magnificent examples of neoclassical architecture in the region.
The building captivates with a majestic marble staircase in the entrance area, impressive ceiling paintings by Italian artists, and ornate marble balconies.
After extensive restoration work, it now serves as the Museum of Digital Exhibits of Aigialeia and a cultural center.
