Eat or drink something at the food truck and not at the bars by the bay: these places are usually already reserved by wealthy boat owners who stop here for lunch. We got this tip from locals on our walk and didn't regret their tip. The food truck has a toilet cabin 😶.

Wonderful bay for swimming and snorkeling. Since it is still not crowded, which is surprising, finally, here was the film "By the Sea" by and with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt filmed. Where the high season and school holidays are also felt here.

A small "restaurant" and Harry's Food Truck (great Angus burger) provide food. Toilets are available in the form of Dixie-Klos. We found them super clean.

The bay is flanked by rocks and has a tiny pebble beach. Access to the water is facilitated with a jetty. On the side rocks you can jump directly into the deep water. But there are also stairs.

Mġarr Ix-Xini was a hiding place for the galleys of knights. Used by the Turks during the raid in 1551, the captured Gozitans were loaded onto their ships and sold on as slaves.

At the end of the bay is the Knights' Watch Tower, built in 1661 and open to the public. The way to the tower has been recently renovated.

Through the caves in the rock walls and the nearby wreck of the ferry "Xlendi" (deliberately sunk) Mgarr Ix-Xini is also a magnet for divers.

The way up to a nearby bus station is steep, if not very far. Taxi service is offered.
