The white church with the red roof shines from a distance, very picturesquely, between fields and the sea. The interior is also plain and white. The colorful altar, the pulpit and the pews are all the more glowing, and there is also a small crypt with a skeleton to admire.

Sights include the excellent High Renaissance altar in the church by Master Bertel, Vordingborg, also known as Bårse Herreds-Meister, the baroque pulpit from 1639. On the south wall of the nave hangs an old wooden choir crucifix, which is partly from Nstved Madonna. A stone was placed in the eastern cemetery to commemorate the sacred spring that once existed on this site.

The church is the oldest in the community and was built between 1225 and 1250 at a sacred spring of monk's stone. The church has been remodeled and expanded over several periods, giving it a unique character.
