    Tips

    March 14, 2026

Deep in the backcountry of Mississagi Provincial Park, the Brush Lakes feel wonderfully remote. When you reach the shoreline, it’s the kind of quiet place where you’ll likely have the water all to yourself. If the weather’s warm, it’s a great spot for a refreshing swim, and anglers sometimes try their luck here for trout. Surrounded by forest and rocky Canadian Shield terrain, the lakes make a peaceful break along the Mackenzie Trail before continuing deeper into the park.
