Located north of Elliot Lake, Mississagi Provincial Park is a rugged wilderness park known for its quiet forests, rocky Canadian Shield ridges, and remote hiking routes. More than sixty kilometres of trails wind through mixed hardwood and pine forest, often leading to scenic lookouts over lakes and wetlands such as the Stag Lake Peatlands. Trails range from short forest walks to longer backcountry routes like the Mackenzie Trail. With relatively low visitor numbers, it’s a peaceful place to hike, paddle, and experience northern Ontario’s wild landscape.
