Friedenskapelle Birkenhördt

The so-called Kapellenweg to the Birkenhördter Friedenskapelle is slightly rising and very nice to wander. At the chapel there is a beautiful view from the Rustelberg on the village Birkenhördt and on the wider area, as well as on the Dörrenbacher Stäffelsberg tower. The sandstone chapel was started in November 1994 and was completed in 1997 under the exemplary use of volunteers. The view into the chapel inside is beautiful.

The Friedenskapelle is a very nice place to take a little rest and let your eyes wander. There are several seating areas around the chapel.
Despite the stated opening times, the chapel itself was closed on the Saturday of our hike.

Above Birkenhördt stands the beautiful Peace Chapel at 330 m above sea level. From here you can enjoy a great view of Birkenhördt and the Stäffelsberg tower near Dörrenbach.
