From the north you have to earn this stone with a sweaty climb. If you want to do a round trip, you should definitely climb up from the north and then cross to the Grasleitenkopf and the Lenggrieser hut (further descent then via the Grasleiten or Sulzersteig). I would not recommend the direct descent from Grasleitenstein to the north or only recommend absolutely sure-footed hikers with healthy knees, as it is very, very steep.
