Kronborg Castle - UNESCO World Heritage Site
Shakespeare and Kronborg
Shakespeare made Kronborg the site of his immortal play Hamlet, and outside Denmark the castle is now best known as Hamlet’s Castle. It is not known for certain whether Shakespeare ever visited Kronborg, but he certainly heard rumors of the court's decadent lifestyle. It is documented that English acting troupes visited Kronborg several times during Shakespeare's time.

A visit is definitely worth it, even if you don't stay inside. The interior can be visited daily from 10:00 a.m. From the wall you have a wonderful view of Helsingborg/ Sweden.
