Reaching the summit of Mount Arthur (1,188 metres) is well worth the climb. At the top, you’ll find the historic Livingston Cabin, a former fire lookout that offers basic shelter from the wind. On a clear day, panoramic views stretch across Tasmania’s north east toward the coast and across to Mount Barrow. Alpine conditions can shift quickly, so expect cooler temperatures and strong winds even when it’s calm below.
