Mount Arthur Regional Reserve protects one of northern Tasmania’s highest peaks at 1,188 metres. The reserve is known for its exposed alpine plateau, dramatic dolerite cliffs, and sweeping views across the Tasmanian landscape. Weather can change quickly at elevation, with strong winds and occasional snow in winter. There is no entry fee, but conditions can be remote and exposed. Stay on the marked track and carry sufficient water, as there are no facilities on the mountain.
