Gets you off the main road for a while, but I'm not sure it's worth it to be honest.
If you REALLY need the respite and would like a route that is marginally prettier, then go for it, however you should be aware of the vicious dog along the segment that made a sickening THUD as it's jaws snapped shut in an attempt to latch onto my calf.
