With the defunct cathedral as a model built in 1151 first mentioned in a document Goslarer Marktkirche, whose original form has been a three-aisled, cruciform pillar basilica with two west towers. In the 14th and 15th centuries, their choir was enlarged and added a new ship on both sides.The north tower of the Marktkirche has been made accessible to visitors up to the Türmerstube.
